Last week the ISOC were raising money for an ambulance in Gaza. Great cause, lovely henna. Win win!

Last week

…was super busy and super productive. Here’s a brief run down of what I was up to:

Mon: Referenda opened! Results can’t be found on our website solentsu.co.uk
Prepared for QAA visit (check out the news section of the website for more info on the institutional audit!)

Tues: Day 2 of referenda.
Met with Georgie, your campaigns officer, and our Student Voice Coordinator to discuss campaigning at Solent next year. We’re looking at putting together a really simple form for you to submit your ideas for campaigns and get lots of support in running them!
QAA arrived, I met with them twice.
Management committee happened. One of the three committees that help run the union!

Weds: Day 3 of referenda!
I basically spent all day with the QAA on and off, answering questions on how the Uni is working and where improvements could be made.

Thurs: Day 4 of referenda!
I spent a lot of the day promoting the referenda to you all and then I read all 25 of the shortlisted nominees for the University’s employability and enterprise awards. I’m one of the judges-which is great for students and the Union!

Fri: Day 5 of referenda!
I met with the Grad Ball working group to make some decisions about the event. Currently still all top secret I’m afraid. But there will be fizz.
Met with Alison Chappell the new director of NUS Charity and told her what I really think about NUS.
Finally I spent the whole afternoon with the judging panel for the E&E awards. Some great nominations and some very tough decisions!!

Then I went home and had a sleep!
